Meet Samuel Brown.
Samuel was born in Williamsport, PA, and is the youngest of four children. At an early age, Samuel experienced homelessness and witnessed the impact of mounting family pressures. Samuel wanted a change in his life but wasn't sure how to make it happen. Thankfully, life has a way of bringing the right person, to the right place, at the right time.

While in high school, Samuel made the varsity basketball team and became team captain as a role player. Liking this feeling, Samuel challenged himself to seek other opportunities to develop his leadership ability. He applied for and was selected to participate in the Coatesville Youth Initiative, ServiceCorps program, a leadership development program designed to train the next generation of leaders. These opportunities were catalysts in Samuel’s life creating opportunities to build his confidence and to inspire .

In the fall of 2013, Samuel stepped on Millersville University's campus as a freshman studying business management. Samuel became a member of the BSU Executive Board and later President of the organization. This helped Samuel discover one of his purposes in life; to help others identify their challenges, learn from the experience, and overcome them.

In 2017, Samuel launched his professional speaking and program development business called Faith and Effort. Through speaking engagements, workshops, programming and social media content Faith and Effort empower individuals to believe in themselves to start to create a lifestyle they envision.

Samuel now travels the country hosting various presentations and workshops and he also contracts with organizations to help them establish and grow their programming.
